Beekeeping
Meet Beekeepers - Promoting Beekeeping in the community
We sometimes meet people who are afraid of bees and others who don't know much about bees or simply regard bees as pests or insects they rather don't want to have close. Isn't it a fact that many of us are afraid of the unknown?
A well established fact is that we all depend on the existence of bees as we do on many other creatures and elements of our ecosystem - it is a well balanced system of which we as humans do not really have very good knowledge.
Without bees as fruit and vegetable pollinators we would not be able to enjoy the variety of food we have today. Some scientists are convinced that if the bees disappeared from this globe mankind would starve within four years.
Once you know a little bit about these fascinating creatures you cannot stop wanting to know more, and you can become very passionate about it - beepassionate!
With this page we want to promote the knowledge about bees and the beekeeping hobby by introducing individual club members to the public. The one or the other beekeeper's story might inspire you to be interested in bees or beekeeping. The one or other beekeeper might be willing to invite you to have a look at the bees - Meet Your Local Beekeeper.
