I'm looking for approximately 50 - 100 frames with old drawn out comb to use for swarm traps. I collect swarms in my area and surrounding suburbs for free and relocate them to rural farmlands. I will offer you a fair price for the combs and I'm happy to collect them from almost anywhere. Please give me a call even if you just have a few you want to get rid of.

Hi,
My name is Damaru, but my white fella name is Glen Dumoo and my family calls me Gilly. I am from the remote Indigenous community of Wadeye in the Northern Territory. I am currently in my 3rd year of a leadership program run by the Thathangathay Foundation
www.tf.org.au, in NE Victoria near Harrietville.

Last year I began learning about bee keeping from an old man here. We started with a couple of hives and a basic extractor and hot knife. I really loved working with the bees and soon I had 6 good hives. I collected the honey and sold it at the markets to make some money.

My family has been collecting sugarbag (Ku Thithay), eating the honey and using the wax for a very long time. I am now working with the Thamarrurr Rangers at home to get my own native hives going in my father and my mother's country. This is hard because the family all love the honey too much.

I want to get more hives and equipment so that I can increase the amount of honey I can produce here in Victoria. This honey is being sold in my community at home in Wadeye and my family and people are very proud to have one of their own selling something at the community store. I have some money from selling my honey and
would like to buy some more hives and boxes, or any other gear you no longer need if you have any to spare.

Thank you from Gilly

We live at Macedon in the foothills of Mt. Macedon, in the Bolobek Lakes Estate (60 kms NW Melbourne).
We have 6 acres - of which 2 are planted up with over 200 Olives.
Looking to install some rented Bee Hives. Happy to accommodate the Bees - on a " all care no responsibility" principle.
