Introduction & Housekeeping: Club President, Debbie Webber

Guest Presentation:  Simon Mulvany

Save the Bees Australia is a social enterprise focused on community education and advocacy for Australian native bees and European honey bees. The organisation was established in 2014 by Founder and CEO, Simon Mulvany, as a rescue mission to re-home honeybee infestations and save them from extermination.

They have a focus on educating children about the importance of pollination and the rolls indigenous bees play.

The enterprise is often featured in mainstream media with special emphasis on the campaigns calling for pesticides to be banned. We also are leading the action against the suspicious importing of honey and honey adulteration mostly from China which is hurting Australian Beekeepers.
